Sound familiar?

The four problems we get called about most.

None of these are unusual in Tooele County or the newer Salt Lake Valley subdivisions. All four have a straightforward fix once someone actually looks at the yard.

A bare dirt yard and an HOA clock

You closed on a new build, the front yard is builder dirt, and there is a compliance date in your CC&Rs. Nobody explained what "landscaped" actually has to mean.

We scope the fastest compliant front-yard package and give you a real start date.

Sprinklers that never worked right

Dry patches, a valve that will not shut off, or a secondary-water setup nobody set up correctly. Then the water bill arrives.

We diagnose the actual fault before quoting, and we tell you if repair beats replacement.

A slope you cannot use

Half the back yard runs downhill, water pools by the foundation after every storm, and the soil keeps washing out.

Grading first, then a wall or terrace sized to the grade, with drainage built in.

Four contractors, four excuses

One company clears, another grades, a third does irrigation, a fourth lays sod. When something goes wrong, everyone points at someone else.

One crew from clearing through finished lawn, so there is one number to call.

Getting to you

Ten Minutes Down SR-138 From Our Shop

Tooele is a straight run from our Grantsville yard down SR-138, so we schedule estimates here on the same trips as our home-town work. Crews come in off Main Street and 1000 North depending on which side of the city the job sits on.

That short haul keeps multi-stage jobs tight. Grading, irrigation, and sod can run back-to-back days instead of being spread out around travel, which matters when you're trying to get turf in before a hot stretch.

Local conditions

Two Kinds of Tooele Yards, Two Different Jobs

Old Tooele has mature trees, older sprinkler systems, and lawns that have been in the ground for decades. The work here usually means repair and renovation: replacing failing valves and heads, removing tired sod, correcting grade that has settled toward the house, and reworking beds around established trees.

Overlake and the newer east-side subdivisions are the opposite problem: compacted builder soil, bare dirt, and an HOA clock. Those get the full treatment: finish grading, a new irrigation system sized to the lot, topsoil, sod, trees, and edged gravel beds. We handle both, and we don't price a renovation like a fresh install.

Got questions?

Landscaping in Tooele: your questions

How quickly can you get to a job in Tooele?

We're ten minutes away in Grantsville, so estimates in Tooele are usually same-week. Sprinkler repairs and seasonal service often go out faster than full installs, which get scheduled around crew availability.

Which parts of Tooele do you cover?

All of it: Overlake, Old Tooele, East Tooele, Copper Canyon, and the neighborhoods up toward Settlement Canyon. We also serve Erda, Stansbury Park, and Pine Canyon on the same routes.

Can you fix an old sprinkler system instead of replacing it?

Usually yes. Older Tooele systems often need valve rebuilds, head replacements, and a few line repairs rather than a full tear-out. We tell you honestly when a system is worth repairing and when replacement makes more financial sense.

Do Tooele yards run on secondary water?

Some do and some run on culinary city water. It varies by neighborhood. The two need different setups, so we confirm your source before we design the system and size filtration accordingly.

Do you build retaining walls for the benched lots on the east side?

Yes. East Tooele lots that step up toward the foothills often need a wall to make the back yard usable. We build segmental block and boulder walls with proper drain rock, drain tile, and reinforcement.

What's the best time of year to redo a Tooele lawn?

Spring and fall are ideal for sod, since the ground is workable and heat stress is lower. We install through the summer too, with a tighter watering plan for the first few weeks.
