Sound familiar?

The four problems we get called about most.

None of these are unusual in Tooele County or the newer Salt Lake Valley subdivisions. All four have a straightforward fix once someone actually looks at the yard.

A bare dirt yard and an HOA clock

You closed on a new build, the front yard is builder dirt, and there is a compliance date in your CC&Rs. Nobody explained what "landscaped" actually has to mean.

We scope the fastest compliant front-yard package and give you a real start date.

Sprinklers that never worked right

Dry patches, a valve that will not shut off, or a secondary-water setup nobody set up correctly. Then the water bill arrives.

We diagnose the actual fault before quoting, and we tell you if repair beats replacement.

A slope you cannot use

Half the back yard runs downhill, water pools by the foundation after every storm, and the soil keeps washing out.

Grading first, then a wall or terrace sized to the grade, with drainage built in.

Four contractors, four excuses

One company clears, another grades, a third does irrigation, a fourth lays sod. When something goes wrong, everyone points at someone else.

One crew from clearing through finished lawn, so there is one number to call.

Getting to you

Scheduled Alongside Our Herriman Rotation

South Jordan sits next to Herriman on our schedule, so the two get worked in the same rotations. Material deliveries and crew days are coordinated across both, which keeps drive time low and pricing competitive against valley-based contractors.

Daybreak access is straightforward, but the lots are tighter and staging space is limited. We plan material drops carefully so a pallet of sod or a load of gravel isn't sitting in your neighbor's parking for three days.

Local conditions

Daybreak Design Standards and Small-Space Yards

Daybreak yards are small, visible, and governed by design standards. That combination rewards precision: a crisp bed line, the right edging, well-chosen plants, and a compact patio can transform a yard that has almost no square footage to work with. Wall-to-wall turf rarely makes sense here.

The rest of South Jordan skews toward established neighborhoods with mature lawns and aging sprinkler systems. A lot of our work here is retrofit: removing thirsty turf, converting to drip-irrigated water-wise beds, replacing failing irrigation, and adding a paver patio or seating wall that makes a small back yard usable. Turf-replacement rebates through Utah Water Savers often apply to those conversions.

Got questions?

Landscaping in South Jordan: your questions

Do you do water-wise conversions in South Jordan?

Yes, it's one of our most common jobs here. We remove the thirsty turf, install drip-irrigated beds with drought-tolerant plants, add gravel or mulch over weed fabric, and edge it cleanly so the result looks designed rather than bare.

Can I get a rebate for replacing my lawn?

Utah Water Savers runs turf-replacement rebates that pay per square foot of qualifying lawn converted to water-wise landscape. Program details and eligibility change, so confirm current requirements for your district before you start.

Will my design meet Daybreak's guidelines?

That's part of the plan. Daybreak has design standards about plant material, bed treatment, and front-yard appearance. We design to them and can adjust the plant palette or bed layout if your community requires a submission.

My Daybreak back yard is tiny. Is a patio worth it?

Often yes. A compact paver patio and a seating wall can make a small yard genuinely usable in a way that more grass never will. We size the layout around your furniture and how you actually plan to use the space.

Can you replace an old sprinkler system in an established neighborhood?

Yes. Older South Jordan systems commonly need new valves, heads, and a modern controller. We'll tell you when targeted repairs are enough and when a full replacement will pay for itself in water savings.

Do you charge extra for coming to South Jordan?

No. South Jordan runs on the same rotation as our Herriman work, so there's no travel surcharge and estimates are free.

Still have a question?

Call or text us Monday to Friday, 8 to 6. We'll give you a straight answer, no pressure.
