Sound familiar?

The four problems we get called about most.

None of these are unusual in Tooele County or the newer Salt Lake Valley subdivisions. All four have a straightforward fix once someone actually looks at the yard.

A bare dirt yard and an HOA clock

You closed on a new build, the front yard is builder dirt, and there is a compliance date in your CC&Rs. Nobody explained what "landscaped" actually has to mean.

We scope the fastest compliant front-yard package and give you a real start date.

Sprinklers that never worked right

Dry patches, a valve that will not shut off, or a secondary-water setup nobody set up correctly. Then the water bill arrives.

We diagnose the actual fault before quoting, and we tell you if repair beats replacement.

A slope you cannot use

Half the back yard runs downhill, water pools by the foundation after every storm, and the soil keeps washing out.

Grading first, then a wall or terrace sized to the grade, with drainage built in.

Four contractors, four excuses

One company clears, another grades, a third does irrigation, a fourth lays sod. When something goes wrong, everyone points at someone else.

One crew from clearing through finished lawn, so there is one number to call.

Getting to you

Planned Trips, Booked Ahead

Park City is our furthest planned run, scheduled with Heber City and Midway. The season is short and access on hillside lots takes planning, so early booking makes a real difference to what dates we can offer.

Local conditions

Steep Ground, Rock, and a Short Season

Park City lots are steep and rocky, and the elevation shortens the growing season considerably. Most projects here start with earthwork: terracing a slope with boulder or segmental walls, correcting grade so snowmelt and storm runoff move safely past the house, and cutting swales where water concentrates. Planting has to be genuinely hardy, and irrigation needs an early, thorough blowout because freezes arrive well ahead of the valleys.

"If you're looking for a trustworthy, reliable person who does what he says he'll do, Yovani with YLC is your guy! He just did our landscape and did an amazing job. Always on time and got the job done. Would hire them over and over again."

Lisbet Correa

Google Review

"I can't say enough good about YLC Landscaping. They just finished redoing my back yard and it is amazing! Fast, efficient and a very reasonable price. Seriously, don't go anywhere else."

Lynne Nilson

Google Review

"YLC is a family-owned business. The wife came to learn what we wanted and prepared a detailed bid. The husband oversaw and worked hard on our project. They removed our old lawn, installed flower beds and edging, moved sprinklers, added a drip system, and installed new grass. The finished product is beautiful."

Got questions?

Landscaping in Park City: your questions

Do you take Park City jobs?

Yes, on planned runs grouped with Heber City and Midway. The season is short at this elevation, so book early to get the dates you want.

Can you build a wall on a steep Park City lot?

Yes. Steep hillside lots usually need terracing rather than one tall wall. We build stepped boulder or segmental block walls with drain rock, perforated tile, and reinforcement sized to the grade.

What survives at Park City elevation?

Hardy, cold-rated species chosen for the site's exposure. We pick from what actually performs at elevation rather than what works down in the Tooele Valley, and we plan irrigation around a shorter season.
